Change in management at Deutsche Edelstahlwerke GmbH
Oliver Bell will be leaving Deutsche Edelstahlwerke (DEW) on 31.05.2016 at his own request. He was Chairman of the Board of Management from April 2015 and was also responsible for the Sales Department. The reason behind his decision is differing opinions about the strategic direction of DEW.
As of 1 June 2016, DEW will be managed for the interim by the two managing directors, Jürgen Alex (Engineering Department) and Mathias Rist (Controlling Department). They will therefore be taking on the duties of Oliver Bell for the time being.
“We would sincerely like to thank Mr Bell for the work he has done and for his high level of commitment to the development of Deutsche Edelstahlwerke and wish him all the best for his personal and professional future,” said Clemens Iller, CEO of SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH AG.
The management of DEW will therefore be as follows from 1 June:
- Jürgen Alex (Engineering Department + Sales Department ad interim)
- Mathias Rist (Controlling Department + Sales Department ad interim)
- Burkhard Hartmann (Labour Director + Personnel Department)
Information about the successor to the chair of DEW Board of Management will be announced at the given time.
