New family trees of high-pressure hydrogen susceptibility of engineering and stainless steels available

These family trees show the relative reduction of area plotted against increasing strength. Measuring the "relative reduction of area" is a simple method of assessing the hydrogen susceptibility of steels by comparing the reduction of area obtained in tensile tests in helium and hydrogen atmosphere.
