Machining

Bright steel production:
The following products are manufactured in the bright steel production facilities:
- Blank bars made of bar steel (stripped)
- Blank bars made of wire steel (stripped or drawn)
- Bare wire (stripped or drawn)
Two different methods are used to produce bright steel. Bright steel may either be drawn, which is the non-cutting cold-forming of hot-rolled, scaled raw material. Bright steel may also be peeled. Additional smoothing and polishing improves the surface even further and increases dimensional accuracy.

- Mechanical processing
Mechanical processing:
The following products are manufactured by means of modern CNC-controlled milling, peeling, turning, smoothing, polishing and drilling equipment:
- Peeled / pressure-polished / chamfered bar steel (up to 300 mm, round)
- Deep-hole drilled bar steel or steel discs
- Peeled / pressure-polished / chamfered tube blanks (up to 300 mm, round)
- Rotation-symmetric open die forging parts (e.g. rolls, axles, pilger mandrel bars, cylinders, continuous casting guiding rollers up to 20 tons)
- Products of the toolmaking and mould construction sectors (e.g. pre-milled billets, precision flats and squares, plastic holding blocks)
The customers choose the degree of prefabrication - anything is possible, from partial production to custom-fit moulded parts.
