Jürgen Horsthofer, Chairman of the Board of Management

Jürgen Horsthofer has held the role of Chairman of the Board of Management since January 2012.

In addition to his work as Chairman, he also manages the Sales Department and is in charge of production planning, technical customer support and Deutsche Edelstahlwerke Härtereitechnik GmbH.

Jürgen Horsthofer has been a member of the Board of Management since 2005, initially as part of the two predecessor companies Edelstahl Witten-Krefeld GmbH and Edelstahlwerke Südwestfalen GmbH, and then as part of Deutsche Edelstahlwerke GmbH from 2007. During his time as a member of the Board of Management, he has also been responsible for the Engineering Department.

Background

Following his Ferrous Metallurgy studies at RWTH Aachen University, he was appointed to the post of Plant Engineer at the Röthenbach extrusion works of Diehl GmbH & Co KG. After joining Edelstahl Witten-Krefeld (or its predecessor company) in October 1986, Jürgen Horsthofer held various managerial positions in the rolling mill, culminating from 2004 in the position of Sales Manager for high-grade structural steel as well as stainless, acid-resistant and heat-resistant steel.
